Fai Som'Ang's musical film #5 follows the Kaivika Musical film Rehu Chap Chan and preceeds Moranak Meada. The adaptation of the original 1969 film does little to elaborate on the story of Chan Kreufa. However, the musical does include the original title song "Somphors Chan Kreufa." Alongside the title song, the film incorporates various dance numbers to stimulate viewership. One such song performed by Yuthara Chany, Prum Sovuthy, Hok Leakenna and legendary dancer Pisith Pilika, the 1975 song "Pka Euy Pka Puttrea," remains a classic dance segment definitive of Cambodia's edgy 90s' musical era-a period unparalleled by any era in Cambodia's entertainment industry.
